This product has been grossly misrepresented
I purchased two of these kits (8 panels) and mounted them on the top of my RV. I have had them on the top of my RV now for approximately 8 months.
When I received the units, I tested each of them for the open voltage measurement noted in the instructions with a digital meter and found each to be producing 21 volts unloaded. Encouraged that the panels were working properly, I went ahead and took the time and expense to mount them to the top of my RV.
After 8 months, here’s what I found:
First of all, the 15 watt, 1 amp peak output rating that Sunforce advertises is not correct. The peak output rating for each of these panels should have been advertised at approximately 750 milliamps per panel. The total peak output that one could typically expect from the 4 panels in this kit would be around 3 amps. 3 amps under perfect conditions.
I have noticed that the boards are extremely prone to large drops (upwards of 45%) in current output when they begin to heat up. In other words, the boards are VERY intolerant to high temperatures. But even under perfect conditions, the 8 panels that I have mounted on my RV only produced 6 amps, and I am in Hawaii.
Another problem: The boards shut down in lower light situations. In other words, early morning and later afternoon lighting, significant cloud cover, or other low light situation will be cause for either a total shut down of output, or the boards will be very poor performers – in the low milliamps for 8 panels in parallel.
Within a very short period of time (about 4 months) the output from the panels gradually decreased by nearly 50%. And right now I am getting about 40% of the advertised peak output in perfect conditions.
The plastic construction is very cheap, in my opinion, and I am now worried that the plastic may break away around the screws that hold down the panels and fly off the vehicle. Needless to say, I am removing the panels.
I’m out some money, a lot of time and effort, but I’ve learned a lot about solar panel technology over the past 8 months.
For just a few bucks more, I will purchase a decent monocrystilline, 36 cell panel that will far and away outproduce the 8 panels that I have on my RV now, and take up far less space and be much safer on top of the vehicle.
Don’t waste your time or money on this kind of solar panel technology. You will be very sorry.
Good set of panels
We were looking for a set of panels with the dimensions of this set. This set fills the bill, works as advertised, and at a very reasonable price. I had used a Sunforce panel before, so had confidence in the set.

Great Buy for Starting with Solar
I hardly ever review anything but I am very pleased with this purchase. It gets 5 stars for the money and simplicity – it’s obviously not the biggest baddest solar panel on the block and you won’t be powering much in the way of household appliances off a 200W inverter, but you can’t beat the price and I had zero problems with shipping. Everything arrived intact and working (I tested the inverter with the battery prior to hooking anything up). You will learn a lot in setting this up and using it to power a few things. I have it installed on the roof of my house and ran a wire drop through the attic vent and down into the main floor, where I keep the battery box (protected and using a sealed battery, relax).
A word on the frame: it’s fine and very easy to set up, but it’s nothing special, just PVC pipe. If you are trying to decide between this system and another panel which would require a more DIY frame, don’t let this frame alone sway you. It’s also made to be floor-standing rather than roof-mounted; what I did was drape the support legs over the apex of my roof and nail the legs to the roof with some PVC U clamps. I’m confident it’s secure, and really the damn thing is so heavy it would take some hurricane winds to move it anyway.
If/when you expand your solar array you will inevitably need to upgrade the charge controller and inverter, but this isn’t a total loss – the inverter, at least, you can hang on to for your car or tailgating truck or whatever, as it uses a 12VDC cigarette lighter plug.
Literally everything you need save the battery is included in the box, you won’t have to make any trips to Radio Shack to pick up terminal connectors or wire twists or adapters or anything. This makes it ideal for the less-than-savvy electrician looking to get started with solar energy. I’d recommend to anyone.
Works great! A few scraped knuckles in assembly.
First off, I have to say I didn’t order this set at Amazon, but instead, drove over to Costco and bought it off the shelf. I DID however buy a GOOD charge controller from here on Amazon and a 2000 watt inverter (Modified sine wave – AKA square wave) from a truck stop. I have this system on my balcony, but it stopped sending power to my batteries until I figured out something was wrong with the extension cable. Since this comes with such long cords, I just took that out of the loop, and it works great charging my two marine batteries (parallel). It easily puts out enough juice to charge these two batteries (in Southern California) in a day and still have a little extra to spare.
I must agree that this is no “professional” setup as just one 123 watt sharp panel cranks out power under dim flourescent lighting and this doesn’t even register under multiple bright incandescents. But it is nice that it is simple, albeit extremely heavy.
One thing not noted in the assembly instructions – There are two different lengths of bolts and if you don’t pay attention you will be pulling it back apart shortly and putting it back together – as I learned the hard way. The short bolts WITHOUT the washer are for the frame assembly, and the longer ones with the washer are for connecting the panels to the frame.
For the price, this is a great deal. Highly recommended.
The inverter that comes with the system is cheap and not really good for much. If you are going to be using your system to power sensitive electronics in your home, you may be better off getting yourself a PURE SINEWAVE inverter. That provides the exact same kind of power you get from the pole. a “modified sinewave” inverter is actually a square wave inverter, and may damage sensitive electronics that have switching power supplies. Either one should be fine with a laptop computer and anything that uses a heavy ‘wall wart’ transformer. The lightweight wall warts tend to be switching supplies and could be damaged with a square wave inverter. Lights, including CFLS, but not including overhead flourescents with ballasts, should work fine with a cheaper square wave inverter. You can even power circular saws, fans, and the like.

Love my new bike
Thanks to so many kind people who reviewed this bike and gave it a good review. I purchased the bike and just love it. It only has one flaw (which I was aware of because of the reviews)–the handle bars do wiggle a bit. I am going to try to put some foamrubber around the bar and see if that helps. Overall, an A+. I am training for a triathlon and am very please.

This is a wonderful spinner. Easy to set up. The ride is smooth and easy to transition between climbing hills and the flat road as well as getting up out of the seat for a jog or run. I am having a lot of fun with my spinner.
Great spin bike!
So far the bike is great. It was really easy to assemble. I had it together in about 20 minutes. It’s pretty quiet. Makes a little noise, but that’s to be expected and it’s definitely quiet enough to watch TV or listen to music. The handles do wiggle slightly, but not enough to bother me while I’m riding. The tension is good and I have plenty of range to go from “flat road” to “big hills”. I bought clipless pedals (the ones that go you lock into with your shoes) and they work great to give me that extra leverage. Overall a great bike for the price. I’m very happy with my purchase and know I’ll be using it for years!

I was skeptical about buying this item at first, but decided to jump in feet first an purchased it. I can honestly say that I am totally satisfied with my purchase. I’ve been to a few spin classes on my installation, and I get the same workout at home using my spin bike. It was easy to assemble, and one thing that this spin bike has is the pedal guards which I didn’t have going on post. This bike is stable, and I had no issues with the handle bars shaking. This is a great price, and money well spent.
acceptable bike for the price..
I purchased this Spinner about a year ago.
Pro: (1) Sturdy Frame (2) Easy Assembly (3) Price (I got it for $400 new)
Con: (1)wobbly handle bar (2) short handle bars (I’m only 5′11″) and I have the handle bars maxed (3) customer service could use improvement. (4) the pedals arms on the spinner sport use a nut & bolt holds each arm on individually (higher end units use an integrated arm that is one piece, this is cheaper but can cause the pedals to slip)
From time I got it the pedal armon the left side of the bike never tightene all the way. I called and asked them to send a replacement and they sent set of pedals (not the arms) ARGH!!!! so after trying again and again I finally got fed up and went to the hardware store to get some nuts that wil no loosen over time. After several trips finally got a nut to fit but the pedal does still loosen but just not as often.
I should have sent the whole unit back the bike is usable but not a best as it could be for me.
I’ve not seen anyone that has had this issue so if you get a unit and it works fine and is OK. The DVD’s are OK could be longer (max is around 35 – 40 mins)
I sold it and paid a little more for another Spinner bike which I’m very happy with.

the bike arrived without the coomputer cables and the computer itself was defective. i had to contact schwinn/nautilus for replacement parts; their customer service was excellent, but there’s no reason that a new product should have missing and/or defective parts…
Great Work Out!
I can not comment on assembly since I actually purchased this bike from a Schwinn bike shop. I wish I did purchase here since I would have saved $150 from the retail price. After reading the reviews here I would have then taken the bike to the shop for assembly since they sell and assemble many of these bikes. It seems if building for the 1st time this may cause problems.
Anyway this bike is built like a tank, everything is solid and sturdy! I am 42 and over weight and finally wanted to take charge by adding a work out plan to my daily activities. I really do not eat that much, I just had ZERO activity in my schedule since I work all day in a office and play only board games and computer games for recreation. For the last couple of months the Airdyme brings a healthy daily work-out into my daily schedule. I am able to ride for approximately 1 hour each day minimum, sometimes twice for 30minutes each. Since I have in my office where I can easily hook-up a headset to my computer I often will get on and do even 15 min sessions through-out the day while watching a movie or TV (pc has a TV card). I can see myself doing 2+ hour week-end sessions on this bike as I build myself upwards, for example while watching a full length movie or televised game. Having Media entertainment is vital for me since time goes by so fast and I don’t focus on bike’s computer read-out, and it takes zero time out of daily schedule. I’m not really focused on weight loss or diet so not really counting calories burned, however I’m 100% confident I will start seeing results in the long run since I previously NEVER worked out. Coincidently since I am now more health conscious due to my Airdyme! I have made some small changes in my daily diet. For example instead of getting a foot-long Italian Subway I now get a 6 inch Tuna at Subway! I now may buy a juice or drink water instead of drinking a soda, etc… However for the most part I didn’t want to make significant changes to my diet since I really wanted a longterm life-time plan that simply added an active work-out plan. So those on a diet may even see faster results:) My experience and results rate 5 stars, with the below pluses:
-ZERO soreness in joints – smooth full body work-out! This is why I choose this over a tread-mill or jogging.
-Computer is simple while showing basic progress. Bike itself is simple, just get on and ride!
-Work-out quality is superb, after a 30+ minute session I’m sweating crazy with the sweat starting at 10-15mins (again I am out of shape!)
-I can ride anytime and it is compact enough I can place in my home office so others will not be bothered.
-This takes ZERO time out of my daily schedule since I can ride AT HOME while watching a movie or TV which I do anyway.
-No special equipment or special clothing required. Often I ride with sweat socks and slippers!
Really Zero Cons:
-Seat does take getting used too (which I have!), however I will take slightly sore butt over sore knees and ankles any day!
-Can be noisy, but I resolved this with a headset plugged into PC for Media entertainment. Not a con at all since almost any machine will produce some noise.
Overall this very well may be the best purchase I have made over the last 20 years, which even includes my home! Ultimately I may decide to include additional work out machines but I can see that the Airdyme will always be apart of a daily work-out schedule! I was able to test this bike compared to others at the shop where I purchased and quickly determined the higher price was worth it! This bike felt more comfortable while others felt less sturdy and secure. This bike is not intended for cross-bike training but rather a good entry-level full-body work-out machine.
Schwinn Airdyne Exercise Bike
Schwinn Airdyne is of excellent quality. Directions for assembly could be better. Best to have two people to put it together. Does an excellent job of exercising both upper and lower body. Integrated fan keeps you cooled off. I would recommend this and would buy again. Purchased from Amazon at a very good price.
Highly recommended exercise bike!
I purchased my Schwinn Airdyne over 18 years ago and can honestly say it has been used regularly as part of my cross training workouts. I am one of those who love to workout and try to do something every day. It provides a great cardiovascular workout and really helps strengthen my legs and butt when riding my outside bike. I am a 51 year old female and have amazed doctors with my heartrate recovery time on the two treadmill tests I’ve had. I know it is because of this indoor bicycle. Not sure if it is still available, but I got a book stand that attaches to the cyclometer stand. Good novels have kept me entertained enough to ride sometimes for an hour at a time, ( but usually ride for 45 minutes). Without the book stand, I must be honest and say that riding this would be very boring. Shorter workouts using interval training will get your heart stronger in no time. Ear plugs are helpful as the Airdyne is noisy. To reduce the wind, I stuck strands of duct tape on the wheel frame to direct some of the wind off my face. The bike is very easy to move around simply by tipping it up on the front wheels and sliding it wherever you want. I am looking to replace my Airdyne as too many parts have been replaced and it is truly on its last leg. You will definitely gain strength in your heart, lungs, glutes, quads and hamstrings by using this bike regularly.

Look, there is no other way to say this: if you want a machine that will last decades, give you as much of a workout as you’re up to at a reasonable price the Airdyne is it. We have owned one for thirty years and it is still going. Just bought another for our winter place. I don’t recall EVER having a problem with the old one; perhaps I had to tighten something now and then but don’t recall. And do NOT be put off by people who say it is too difficult to assemble-it is not. If you have NO mechanical skill at all ask a friend….its not that hard. Grab some cheap open end wrenches, particularly a 7/8″, and maybe a pair of vice grips or slip joint pliers and you are good to go. It is easier if TWO people do the job.
Saddest aspect of the AirDyne story is the way it has been treated by the company responsible for it. Much as they try they cannot kill off this durable, dependable and useful product. Sure the assembly instructions could be better but you’ll get it done. Phooey on the corporate ding-dongs who won’t support this great product; they won’t even tell you that you can’t buy if from a dealer down the street.
Get out there and use this machine. You’ll love it. Your cardiologist will probably hate it….but what do you care, you;ll probably outlive him!!

Tool Kit for a Novice
Even though being a novice mechanic I purchased the Park Mechanic Advanced Tool Kit for working on bikes, I found it to be very usefull. If I ran into problems I just went to my Bike store and got help from them. This worked out really well and allowed me to totally disassemble my bike. I am looking forward to cleaning all the parts and reassembling the bike. I would recommend this tool kit as a basic need because it supplies so many tools that one needs to work on a bike.

An Exceptional Jumping-Off Point
I’m a bike shop employee of over a decade now, a bike aficionado, and beginning framebuilder. I bought my Park AK-37 kit in 1999, and it’s been worth every penny. Could I have just dragged my bike to the shop to work on it with their tools? Sure, but giving myself the ability to work from home was an important step forward in my life as a cyclist.
The AK-37 will provide every tool you need to perform basic maintenance on your bike, and is worth every penny. Thus far, my tools have held up to years of use (and abuse), and I have nothing but praise for the kit. If you’re just getting started with setting up your own bicycle workshop, this is an excellent way to go.

i am very pleased with the item. this tool kit gave me nearly every tool i needed to get started with cycling again (i chose to add a 4th hand and a 13 piece allen wrench set because i wanted these items). i wish they had added citrus chain brite also. overall, i am very pleased with this kit and would recommend it.

Great gift. This is a gift I will grow into as I still do not recognize most of the tools and definitely do not know how to use them.

Great product and service
Received just what we ordered and are very happy with it. Service and delivery was speedy.
Decent shirt
The shirt is stretchy and thin, easy to exercise in.
It is advertised as looking and feeling like cotton, which it doesn’t. From a distance it may look like cotton, definitely not from close up. It feels less comfortable than a cotton shirt and isn’t good to wear under other clothes. The Under Armour logos are made of rubber and are a bit annoying.

I measured my chest at 44″ before ordering a large. The shirt is loose on me. Apparently this is designed as a loose fitting garment. If you’re seeking the chiseled Under Armor look, this isn’t the product.
Excellent
This Tee is comfortable and durable. The tee-shirt feel is better than the more slick sateen feel of previous shirts and is more durable as well. I’m ordering more of these very soon!
